"Even though I had big mud gaps ..."

Even though I had read on Colin's site that the treatment is for grass, buses, foliage etc (in other words plant material) I had a somewhat unique case that has caused me a LOT of frustration and money over the years. I have a nice lawn but there's a couple areas beneath a couple of big trees where grass would never grow or at best would grow in a patchy haphazard way.  I assumed that it was from all the shading etc but even full shade grass seed would never grow there.  I even resorted to sodding the area but to no avail.  The sod would just die off.   

 

So I talked to Colin about it. He said that even though I had big mud gaps and the treatment only works on foliage, there was a little cosmetic trick that they could use that would make it look just like the rest of the lawn.  He showed me a couple of before and afters of similar cases and I decided to give it a try since it was really inexpensive.  (area was less than 400 sq feet)  Well, the result blew me away! Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.  Since then I've had this little cosmetic trick done a couple of times per year and I'm completely happy with this solution." Desmond Brown. Etobicoke, Ont.
