"A quick fix for your burn spots!" (Dog pee)

"If you have a dog and he goes on your lawn, you know how unsightly those spots are … especially if you have an otherwise green lawn. Distinct, bright, yellow/brown spots scattered all over your nice green lawn. If you have a dog you also know that to fix these spots takes time and effort.  You have to scratch out the dead grass, reseed the spot, water it, fertilize it  etc.  Over the course of time, (weeks!) and if everything goes right the grass will come back. The permanent fix is obviously to train your dog not to go on your lawn but rather in some designated area.

Being a new dog owner and lazy, I did neither (train the dog nor fix the spots lol!) until I realized that the date of our annual BBQ was just a week or so away.   By this time there were around fifty to sixty pee spots (each around 6 to 8 inches in diameter) scattered randomly all over the yard. I called Colin immediately and luckily they had some openings the weekend of the BBQ. He’d suggested that we could treat the lawn the day before the event so that there would be minimal additional pee spots by the time of the actual event the next day. I sent him a pic and he suggested that we might as well just do the entire lawn since there were sooo many spots. I agreed and I have to say that its amazing how well it covered them.

This is a quick fix for your burn spots! Because we cut the lawn VERY low in the prep, the diminished density of the grass in the actual spots were not even noticeable because of the color coverage. The BBQ was a hit and a couple of people actually asked me if I had the lawn resodded!"  Matice Gustavsen. Markham Ontario.
