"I ALWAYS use this in the Fall because"

"Quite by accident I had noticed that the year after I'd used this for the first time, my lawn greened much, much faster in the following Spring. So much so that I knew it had to be from this treatment because that was the only thing that I'd done differently. But how? That was my question.  So I asked Colin and he said it was quite common and there was actual studies that were done to back this up. Checked out the study and yup, made complete sense.   I read that the colorant led grass out of winter dormancy a little earlier because the darker color of the leaf blade attracts just enough heat to cause the photosynthesis to occur earlier in spring.
